National Passport & Travel Document in lieu of a National Passport
 
Renewing / issuing Israeli passports or travel documents

Please note that as an Israeli citizen you are obliged to update your personal status. Also, please note that an Israeli citizen must travel to and from Israel with an Israeli passport.

National Passport & Travel Document in lieu of a National Passport
  Renewing / issuing Israeli passports or travel documents
  ·You need a new passport if:
You have an Israeli Passport and more than 10 years have passed from the date it was issued. Passport issued for a minor won't be extended after five years 7 will have to be renewed.
You have an Israeli Passport issued for a minor & you need to update the photo in it.
You are an Israeli citizen and you have never before had an Israeli passport. (If the passport is for a new child born out side of Israel, please note you have to register this child as an Israeli citizen before issuing a passport)
You have an Israeli Passport and its pages are full (with visas, stamps, etc).
You have an Israeli Travel Document in lieu of a National Passport, which was issued more than five years ago.
You had an Israeli Passport or an Israeli Travel Document in lieu of a National Passport and it was lost / stolen / mutilated.
  Requirements for issuing a new Passport/Travel document in lieu of a national passport:
 
1. Application for a passport / Travel Document.
2. 2 recent passport photographs, showing a front view of the applicant's face, neatly dressed, in color, and in a size of 2" by 2".
3. Your old passport or Travel Document for processing.
4. Issuing a passport / travel document for a minor (up to the age of 18) requires a parent signature, and a copy of both parents passports. (If the parents are divorced, both parents approval is required). If this is the child first passport the parents has to come to the embassy in person. (If the parents are married & their marital status was updated in the Israeli registry, only one parent has to come to the Embassy)
5. Processing time for a new passport is approximately two weeks.
6. Processing fees:
- $50 for a new National Passport for a citizen over 17 years old
- $17 for a new National Passport for a child under 17 years old
- $17 for a Travel Document in lieu of a National Passport for an adult or child

If you are interested in processing your application by mail, or receiving your processed new passport or travel document by mail, please send an additional $11 for UPS Mail (please note that you can not send in an application for a child first passport by mail). Be sure to include your address and phone number

Please note that all fees must be paid in cash or with a money order. (Please do not send cash by mail).
  Requirements for issuing a replacement for a lost / stolen / damaged Passport/Travel document in lieu of a national passport:

You cannot submit this application thru the mail, you must appear in person at the Consular section in the embassy and submit the application personally in order to start processing.
1. Application for a passport/Travel Document & Declaration of a lost/stolen/damaged passport.
2. A statement from the local police that you reported the loss and/or theft of the passport/Travel Document.
3. Present a form of identification with a current picture. If this document is not an Israeli document you need to know your Israeli identification number.
4. 2 recent color passport photographs, showing a front view of the applicant's face, in a size of 2" by 2".
5. Your old passport or Travel Document, if available (in cases of damaged documents).
6. Issuing a passport / travel document for a minor (up to the age of 18) requires a parent signature at the consular section in the embassy, and a copy of both parents passports. (If the parents are divorced, both parents have to come to the Embassy). If the parents are married & their marital status was updated in the Israeli registry, only one parent has to come to the Embassy
7. A request for a new passport that replaces a lost / stolen one will be processed 10 days after the report on the loss / theft of the passport was accepted at the consular section. Processing time is approximately two weeks.
8. Processing fees:
a. $100 for a new National Passport for a citizen over 17 years old
b. $67 for a new National Passport for a child under 17 years old
c. $67 for a Travel Document in lieu of a National Passport for an adult or child

If you are interested in receiving your processed new passport or travel document by mail, please bring an additional $11 for UPS Mail.

Please note that all fees must be paid in cash or with a money order.
 
Extending Israeli passports or travel documents
  You need to extend the validity of your passport if:
 
You have an expired Israeli Passport, and less than 10 years have passed from the date it was issued.
You have an Israeli Travel Document in lieu of a National Passport, which was issued after March 1, 2002, and less than five years have passed from the date it was issued.

 

  Requirements for extending a Passport/Travel document in lieu of a national passport:
 
1. Application form to extend or make changes in Passport / Travel Document
2. You must submit the application together with the Travel Document for processing.
3. Extending a passport/travel document for a minor (up to age 18) requires a parent signature on the application form and a copy of both parents' passports (If the parents are divorced, both parents approval is required). the parents has to come to the embassy in person. (If the parents are married & their marital status was updated in the Israeli registry, only one parent has to come to the Embassy)
4. Extending the validity of your passport is free of charge; however, if you are interested in receiving your extended passport q travel document by mail, please send $10 for UPS. Please note that all fees must be paid in cash or with a money order. (Please do not send cash by mail).
5. Processing time is approximately two weeks.

 

Renewing / extending Travel Document for Non-Israelis
 
You cannot submit this application thru the mail, you must appear in person at the Consular section in the embassy and submit the application personally in order to start processing.
 
  Requirements for issuing and extending a Laissez Passer:

 
1. Application for a Laissez Passer and Application for a visa (for a Laissez Passer).
2. 2 recent passport photographs, showing a front view of the applicant's face, neatly dressed, in color, and in a size of 2" by 2". (3 for the Laissez Passer and 2 for the returning visa for Israel).
3. Your old Laissez Passer for Processing.
4. Processing fees:
a. $50 for a new Laissez Passer
b. $17 for the Israeli returning Visa inside the Laissez Passer
c. If you are interested in receiving your processed new Laissez Passer by mail, please ad an additional $11 for UPS Mail.
Please note that all fees must be paid in cash or with a money order.
5. Processing time for a renewal or extension of a "Travel Documents for Non-Israelis" will be approximately two weeks.
